Hello! I'm Julie - A Neurodivergent Counsellor

I specialise in ADHD and autism spectrum support.

I bring both professional training and lived experience - I'm part of a neurodivergent family and was late-diagnosed myself (AuDHD). I have lots of training and was previously based at Specialist NHS Autism service (and nominated for an award). I've been an advocate for the neurodivergent community for over 17 years with a special interst in ADHD.

I have featured in many news and radio articles including BBC News and Radio 2 'womans hour' as well as counselling podcasts.

Hello! I'm Paul - A Specialist bereavement Counsellor

I offer compassionate support for those experiencing grief and loss, with extensive experience working alongside neurodivergent people and individuals with disabilities. I currently counsel at my local hospice.

Ruthie Nightingale Trainee Specialist Counsellor

Hi, I'm a level 5 trainee counsellor specialising in supporting adults with ADHD and Autism in Sheffield. I'm late-diagnosed AuDHD myself, I understand the unique challenges and strengths of being neurodivergent.

Working under Julie's supervision, I provide:

  • Neuroaffirming therapy
  • Person-centred, accepting approach
  • Support for daily challenges and strategies
  • Space to explore anxiety and emotions

Sessions are £30 (to cover cost of room hire and supervision) and held at our Sheffield practice on Abbeydale Road, S7.

I have over 70 hours of counselling experience supporting clients at RNIB, now focused on my passion for neurodivergent counselling.

Annie Farrell

Annie Farrell, Neurodiversity Consultant and Trainer.

Hi I'm Annie...I was a teacher and Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator (SENCO) for over 30 years. I developed expertise in supporting neurodivergent individuals and creating inclusive environments, particularly those with Autism and/or ADHD. My own late ADHD diagnosis and experiences as an adult adoptee and parent fuel my passion for helping others to maximmise potential and overcome obstacles.

Sue Sibbald

Sue Sibbald BEM, Director and Consultant

Hello! I'm Sue - Director and Consultant for the Counselling and Therapy Hub CIC.

I have extensive experience working in Mental Health for the NHS as a peer worker supporting those labelled with Personality Disorder, many of whom have later been diagnosed with autism or ADHD. My role included supporting individuals with diagnoses, their families and friends, as well as providing training for staff.

Currently, I serve on the Project Board for the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Safety. I was previously Co-chair of the national consensus statement for Personality Disorder alongside Sir Norman Lamb.

My dedication to mental health advocacy has been recognised with a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to mental health.
